Ash Taylor is a visual artist based in South-East Queensland whose work is deeply inspired by the Australian natural environment. Through murals, she explores a theme of ‘out of sight, out of mind’, highlighting and amplifying often-unseen species by bringing them to focus on the walls of the communities that share their landscapes.Beyond large-scale public art, Ash works with conservation organisations, councils and state governments to develop illustrations, educational resources and visual assets that communicate scientific knowledge. Her practice bridges art and conservation, translating environmental issues into imagery that encourages curiosity, conservation and celebration of the unique biodiversity that surrounds us. Ash also dedicates her time to Quoll Society Australia and Wildlife Queensland, contributing to conservation through both on-ground fieldwork and visual communication. Whether surveying wildlife in the field, creating illustrations and murals, her goal remains the same: to help people better understand, appreciate and protect Australia's native wildlifeThe work I do:
